Philip Sathyaraj, an artist who also specializes in origami conducts regular workshops with us to teach kids and adults the Japanese art of paper folding popularly know as Origami. The week of 26th – 30th May 2015 he conducted a week long session as a part of an ongoing summer camp @ Ashvita.
The material used to conduct this workshop is re-cycled paper. This was a fusion class for children & adults who were intermediates and advance levels. At the intermediate level participants were taught to make flowers, boxes, action origami, clothes, animals, ornaments, aeroplanes etc from re-cycled paper.
At the advanced level participants were taught how to make tomoko fuse box, flower, omega star, rabbit, lamp shade etc from re-cycled paper. Each participant took home an Origami KIt & a sketch of what they learn daily.
